So I am thinking of doing a new blog

about reviewing movies. I know I am no expert, but film is my passion, I graduated with a film bachelors, and I think this would be a great exercise for me as well. What do you guys think?

Sorry for ignoring

I apologize for my absence. It’s been an interesting month. Soon I will be posting my new apartment and room and stuff. I like my new apartment. I’ve been getting a few decent gigs and just finish a terrible one. Now I am in Canada visiting a friend.

As for the bad things in my life, well I have to say that I am really lonely. I don’t like it. It’s been little more than a year, and I can’t take it anymore. To ne honest, I’m tired of being single, I am tired of not having someone, I miss the romance, and I will admit that I do miss the physicality of things as well.

Mad

and hurt.

Im so tired of this…

imagination-parade asked:
Hey, I see that you just moved from Orlando to CA. I'm getting ready to move from Tampa to Burbank with similar television/entertainment dreams. Any advice? :)

Hi Stephanie!

First off thanks for the question. That’s fantastic that you are going forward with your dreams, It’s not always easy to follow them in this field. And to move from the East Coast to the West it’s a feat in itself.

I don’t know exactly what you want to do in the industry, so I can’t really give you more personalized advice. But as for general, just like in any move from one place to a far one, you should save up some money. Here in California, as “glamorous” as the life style is here, it’s an expensive one, and if you are planning on just working in the industry it’s pretty hard to find work right away. So make sure to save money to cover you rent and bills for at least 2 months. I moved here at the slowest time for work (winter) so it was pretty difficult for me to find work. You seem to be coming at a more appropriate time and might be able to find work faster, but just in case, make sure you are covered for 2 months or so.

Also, if you have a friend or someone that lives here and can check out the place you are thinking of moving, that be fantastic. A lot of places seem to be pretty cheap but when you get there it’s pretty bad. Or on the flipside you might find an expensive place but you could probably find something cheaper. Burbank has a little bit of both, but it’s a pretty good area from what I have seen. Look around Glendale, Sherman Oaks, North Hollywood areas as well. These are all around the outskirts of Hollywood, LA area, just like Burbank. I used to live in Glendale, I just moved to Valley Village (I think I haven’t posted the last moved video, shall soon).

Now, the most important general advice that I could give is: Don’t give up. Things get really tough, and there is so much that can affect you. And I am sure you already know that it’s hard to make it in this industry, but it gets a lot tougher here and it might push you away from your dreams. You might not find work in the industry for a while, just like you might find work the day after you move. A lot of friends I know end up getting a “day job” and they get confortable with that income and never settle there. Don’t get comfortable on a job you don’t want. For 2 months I wasn’t finding enough work to pay bills and I had to sell equipment and such. But don’t give up on what you want, even if for a while you might be stuck in a rutt, don’t let it beat you.

This post is getting kinda lengthy so I’ll cut it here, and ask anything more detailed if you want. I can go on and on on this, but I don’t want to bore people :P

I hope I can be of help in any ways, and regardless, follow your dreams and make it happen :)

Well, here’s a little of the new place. I’ll be working this weekend, so next week I will organized my room and the apartment and show it to you guys.

Any comments and questions are always welcome :)
